Nordic Programs Overview for 2024-25

Program Overview

New to skiing? Cross-country skiing is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and connect with others. Our Learn-to-Ski programs are designed for those new to skiing in any physical shape and focus on creating a fun, welcoming, and non-intimidating environment.

All-Ages Learn-to-Ski: A shared experience for everyone—from the young to the young at heart! This program blends basic ski instruction with engaging activities to ensure a fun and memorable time for all.

Adults Learn-to-Ski: A similar experience as our all ages class but at a later date and tailored for adults in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Join peers for an inspiring and supportive learning environment.

Both programs emphasize skill development through games, lighthearted instruction, and a sense of community. Whether you’re joining to stay active, learn something new, or connect with others, these sessions offer the perfect opportunity to make the most of winter.

Come join the QVN family (or bring your own!) for a warm and friendly outdoor adventure. Hot chocolate and a treat await you after practice!

Hot Chocolate and a treat will be provided after practice!

How to sign up

All registrations are managed through a platform called Zone 4. During the process, you’ll also need to sign up for a QVN membership, which provides year-round access to our trails and insurance coverage through Nordiq Canada.

  • Step 1 offers information about our club and the option to donate to our efforts.

  • Step 2 allows you to enter people who will be joining the club (and programming).

    • You will likely need to “Add Person” if you are new to Zone 4

    • Enter the person’s name and select “Nordic”

    • As a role select “Skier/Athlete” and fill out the contact information

    • Select a membership option. The family option allows you to sign up your whole family as members for trail access outside of programming for a fixed cost (other family members do not need to join programming).

    • Select the program and time that fits best for you (spaces are limited)

    • Review the various consents and continue

  • Add all members before checking out

    • If you’ve chosen a family membership, add all family members at no extra cost (even those not participating in programming).

  • Complete the checkout process.

Not able to attend the proposed time or sessions are full

If none of the available sessions fit your schedule or the type of lesson you’re looking for, we encourage you to join the waitlist. You’ll be notified if we open additional sessions that may better suit your needs.
